The ThinkPad T400s is one of Lenovo’s lightest laptops, weighing under 4lbs two ounces and being just 0.83-inches thick.

Its slimness is achieved by the use of the 14.1-inch LED screen and the Top Cover Roll Cage which is made out of monocoque carbon reinforced fibre.

This material was first used in the ThinkPad X300 laptop and is extremely light as well as being sturdy.

Power and performance are not compromised by the lightness of the machine as it includes Intel 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo processors.

“We’ve created products like our ThinkPad T400s laptop to bring thin and light computing to mainstream corporate users,” said Peter Hortensius, senior vice president of ThinkPad, Lenovo.

Ultrawideband connectivity is provided by Ethernet, Wi-Fi and optional WiMAX3, WWAN and 3 Bluetooth.

ThinkPad was first introduced in 1992 and was the industry’s first notebook with a 10.4-inch colour Thin Film Transistor display.
